DESTINY TITAN COSPLAY ARMOR

The armor set was inspired by the Titan class in the video game Destiny 2. Most of the armor was created using EVA foam and attached to person via nylon clips, velcro, or elastic straps. The foam was heat sealed, plastidiped, and painted to mimic the look of metal armor. The armor consists of 19 pieces that outfits the whole body to look similar to the Titan class.

Medieval Shield

The shield was constructed with 4 layers of 1/4” plywood that were bent and glued over a form. After the layers finished gluing, the shield was removed from the form and detail pieces of wood were added around the edges of the shield. The shield was then stained and the detail edges were painted a metallic silver to look like metal. Then, different metal rivets were added to the shield for decoration, and the handle and belt were fastened to the back.

Claymore

The Claymore was inspired by multiple different swords from different generations of The Legend of Zelda series. The sword was constructed from plywood along with a steel pipe running through the center to add strength to the handle. The sword was painted silver to look metal, and the handles were wrapped with leather.

Flail

The flail was constructed using a wooden dowel for the handle with an added wooden pommel to create a custom handle intended for longer range. The handle was stained and then covered with a spray-on protective coat. The spiked ball and chain were separate buys that were secured to the handle with epoxy and additional screws. The handle was finally wrapped with decorative string to finish the build.

Kanabō

The Kanabō was inspired by the traditional club that was used by samurai in feudal Japan. The Kanabō was built completely out of dark stained wood. Metal studs were added around the head of the club for detail, and red cloth was sewed onto the handle as well.
